During
Once you've stored your belongings securely, you'll sit in a heated, zero-gravity massage recliner ergo-dynamic tables. A licensed acupuncturist will consult with you about your wellness goals and any discomfort. You'll enjoy a 20 to 30-minute treatment with therapeutic music and nature scenes on a screen.
After
At the end of the session, you will move back to the lobby, where your acupuncturist will answer any questions and provide a personalized treatment plan for you. Your Zen Advisor will then help you schedule your next appointment based on your plan’s recommendations.

Karyla Gaines, with 24 years of experience as an acupuncturist in Charleston/Mount Pleasant, SC, began her career as a Clinical Counselor. Her interest in complementary health care sparked while helping clients who struggled with physical pain leading to depression and anxiety. After witnessing the benefits of acupuncture firsthand, she pursued further education in the field.
Joining the Modern Acupuncture team, Karyla aims to make acupuncture more accessible in a community setting.
Pamela decided to pursue a career in acupuncture as a way to further help people with their health issues. Already a practising massage therapist, she saw acupuncture training as a natural progression to expand her knowledge. She was fascinated by the philosophy of this ancient medicine and its potential to improve people's quality of life.
Pamela finds South Carolina an ideal location for her work, as the vast majority there have not yet experienced acupuncture.
